Program Description - Quito City Tour with Museum:
Starting early in the morning we will have time to visit the colonial section of Quito on a walking tour along its cobblestone streets among buildings that date from the 16th to the 19th centuries. We will also visit Independence Square where the Presidential Palace is located, and marvel at the ornate interior of the Baroque/Moorish Church of San Francisco as well as the golden interior of La Compania church. We will then proceed to the Central Bank Museum, with the largest and most complete art collection of the country, the National Museum has permanent exhibits dating from 12.000 BC to 21st. Century Art in its different exhibits like the Archaeology Court, the Gold Court, the Colonial Art Court, Republican and Contemporary exhibitions as well as itinerant ones. If you take this tour on a Monday, we will go to the Guayasamin Museum instead, home of a private pre Columbian and colonial art collection, as well as the best works of painter Oswaldo Guayasamin , at La Capilla del Hombre.

Program Description - Quito Family City Tour:
After pick up from your hotel our tour begins at the Itchimbia Mountain with an outstanding view of Quito’s Old Town; after this experience we start our walking tour on the Old Town through cobblestone streets departing from San Francisco Square, with a quick view of this magnificent complex; we follow our tour with a visit of La Compañía Church, a masterpiece of the baroque period, with an interior completely covered in gold with sculptures and paintings from the famous Quito’s Colonial Art School; visiting this Church is a “must” if you are in the city. The wax museum is our last stop before lunch; the visit takes us thorough several periods in the “building” of the Ecuadorian republican history showing interesting scenarios from our freedom fighters and the way of living in the first stage of the Republic. Enjoy lunch at the Old Town on one of our suggested restaurants After lunch you can choose between visiting the Aerial Tram or the Yaku Water Museum, as this is a family oriented tour, all of our efforts are directed in giving you an amusing experience with your love ones, this is the description of both choices.

Yaku Water Museum: Our transport will take us to the Yaku Water Museum; located in the historical El Placer neighbourhood, where the first water tanks of the city were placed; the complex has a spectacular view of the old city. The family will enjoy an enriching experience where learning about this precious resource is an amusing interactive experience, with games for kids of all ages the water museum is a great option for families.

Quito's Cable Car, known as Teleferiqo, a perfect location for families! The cable car will take you up to 13000 feet for a breathtaking view of the Andean corridor, in a clear day you might be able to watch three snows capped volcanoes at once while you are watching the whole city and surrounding valleys. For the small members of the family the complex offers an amusement park with a rollercoaster, go karts and electronic games, every activity in a beautiful surrounding and with a great view.
